Employee Code of Conduct

Standards of Professional Conduct for All Sapphire Security Services Employees

Every person who wears the Sapphire badge represents this company — on post, in public, and in every interaction with clients, colleagues, and the community. These standards are not negotiable. They define what it means to work here and what this company stands for. Read them carefully. Sign them honestly.

🎖️ Professionalism & Appearance
  • Conduct yourself with professionalism at all times, including during transit to and from post
  • Address clients, supervisors, and the public courteously and respectfully
  • Maintain a calm, composed demeanor in all situations — including high-stress events
  • No use of personal mobile devices for non-work purposes while on post
  • Represent the Company in all public interactions as though you are being evaluated
  • Gross or repeated unprofessional conduct is grounds for immediate termination
👔 Uniform & Equipment
  • The issued uniform must be worn completely and correctly for every shift — no substitutions
  • Uniforms must be clean, pressed, and in good repair before reporting for duty
  • Badges and identification must be worn visibly at all times when on post
  • All issued equipment must be accounted for and in working condition before and after each shift
  • Damaged or missing equipment must be reported immediately — not at end of shift
  • Uniforms remain Company property and must be returned in full upon termination
⏱️ Punctuality & Attendance
  • Arrive at your post ready to work at the assigned start time — not walking in at start time
  • Unexcused tardiness of more than 10 minutes constitutes a policy violation
  • Call-outs require at least 2 hours advance notice to your direct supervisor
  • No-call / no-show will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination
  • Three unexcused absences in any 90-day period may result in termination
  • Shift abandonment — leaving post without relief — is a terminable offense
📋 Incident Reporting
  • All incidents, unusual occurrences, and use-of-force events must be documented
  • Reports must be filed within 2 hours of the end of the shift in which the incident occurred
  • Reports must be accurate, factual, and free of opinion or speculation
  • Never omit information from an incident report — incomplete reports are a policy violation
  • Report all injuries (yours or others) immediately to your supervisor regardless of severity
  • Verbal reports to supervisors do not substitute for written documentation
⛔ Zero Tolerance Policies — Immediate Grounds for Termination
Drugs or alcohol on duty or impaired reporting to work
Physical violence against any person except lawful defense
Harassment of any kind (sexual, racial, personal, or otherwise)
Weapons on post not authorized by Company or client contract
Theft or misappropriation of client or Company property
Falsification of incident reports or timesheets
Disclosure of confidential client or Company information
Failure to report a serious incident or criminal activity observed on post
These policies are absolute. There are no warnings for zero-tolerance violations. Violation results in immediate removal from post and termination of employment, and may result in law enforcement referral. Employees are expected to remove themselves from any situation before it escalates to a zero-tolerance event.
⚖️  Use of Force Policy

Sapphire Security Services operates under a use-of-force continuum. Force is a last resort — never a first response. All force used must be proportional to the threat presented and must cease the moment the threat is neutralized.

1
Presence
2
Verbal Command
3
Soft Control
4
Force — Last Resort
  • Force is authorized only in defense of yourself or others from immediate physical threat
  • All use of force must be reported — verbally to supervisor immediately, written report within 2 hours
  • Excessive, retaliatory, or punitive use of force is prohibited and constitutes a zero-tolerance violation
  • Armed officers: firearms are drawn only when there is imminent threat of death or serious bodily harm
  • De-escalation is always the preferred and expected approach in any confrontational situation
  • Officers who witness another officer using excessive force have a duty to report it immediately
